Who is responsible for this Farrago? |

This site was created by a band of trained monkeys, organised by Colin Lusk. Most of it (including this page) is standard HTML4.01... The monkeys haven't sussed out xhtml yet ...but the flash and sound files are embedded using non-standard tags because there just doesn't seem to be a way of doing this using orthodox code... or didn't when I built the thing anyway. Also, CSS is non-standard because of the need to make the thing work in IE6 and netscape.
I got free fonts (used in some of the graphics), mainly from DINC. DendE PhisH at The JavaScript Source did all the hard work on the underlying maths on the TMA Motivator. I just tweaked it and added the prompt, cookies and all that stuff. I'm pretty sure you know who the teacher is. Being a lazy bugger, I decided to use the advanced email generator on this site to make the anti-spam encoded e-mail links because it was easier than doing them all longhand. Stickysauce meta tag generator was another time saver but it doesn't seem to exist any more. Hi ho. The animations were mainly taken from online animation freebie sites like animation.com, and Barry's Clip Art Server apart from the one depicting numfar doing the dance of joy, which I made myself, based on stills from Angel. It isn't an original idea and it's been done better since but I still prefer mine because I spent so long over it |
